March was marked by a range of testing and coordination processes. Several plant areas are undergoing tests and inspections to ensure that the individual sections are correctly connected and that processes run safely.
Additional work planned at the substation
In the substation area, ongoing inspections have identified a need for adjustments. The planned work concerns the technical implementation of individual components and is scheduled for May. The aim is to increase the long-term operational reliability of the electrical connection.
Fine-tuning in gas treatment launched
In the gas treatment plant, the central technical preparations are now well advanced. Following the complete installation and cabling of the systems, so-called loop checks are now taking place. All measurement and control connections are checked individually: tests verify that signals are transmitted correctly and that all components communicate with each other as intended.
These inspections are an important intermediate step to ensure that the plant can later be operated reliably and safely.
Hydrogen pipeline remains in stable condition
The pipeline that will transport hydrogen in the future remains pressurised and filled with hydrogen. This method protects the pipeline during the current project phase while also enabling continuous checks. Regular samples continue to show stable results and confirm that it is in perfect condition.
Preparations for the next operational step are underway
The step-by-step preparation of the electrolysers for later operation is also being pushed forward. Initial plant areas have already been flushed with a special liquid, a special flushing solution, to remove residues from the systems and create optimal conditions for later use.
In the coming weeks, further mechanical tests will follow under realistic conditions. In parallel, shift work for the operations team on site is being prepared so that the next steps can be supported around the clock.
