Update on construction progress in February

Construction work on the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park site is progressing steadily. For this reason, we would like to inform interested parties about the construction progress of the Energy Park on a monthly basis in future.

Recognisable progress was made on the electrolysis construction site during February. In particular, this includes the erection and assembly of the prefabricated parts and the crane runway of the future electrolysis hall. The bricklaying work for the energy centre has also begun. With the installation of the amphibian stop moat, the final approval requirement for the electrolyser was also fulfilled in February. Furthermore, the construction site now has a water connection to supply it with construction water. A drinking water connection will follow shortly.

Last month, the surface of the refilled pit was restored at the site for the pigging station, which was installed in November 2023 (article from 1 November 2023). From the summer, final conversion work will be carried out here, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

The fourth wind turbine has already been connected to the grid at the wind farm construction site. Strong winds posed a particular challenge when installing the rotor blades. Nevertheless, commissioning of the fifth wind turbine is also imminent.
