Green hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water using electricity from renewable energy sources. In addition to a large-scale electrolysis plant of up to 30 megawatts, a wind farm with modern wind turbines is being built in the immediate vicinity. With underground hydrogen storage in salt caverns, the Bad Lauchst\u00e4dt Energy Park is set to become the site of the first green hydrogen storage facility in the future. The subsequent transport of the green hydrogen will take place via a converted natural gas pipeline. Green hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water using electricity from renewable energy sources. In addition to a large-scale electrolysis plant of up to 30 megawatts, a wind farm with modern wind turbines is being built in the immediate vicinity. Climate-neutral hydrogen is produced at the Bad Lauchst\u00e4dt Energy Park through the globally unique coupling of large-scale electrolysis and a wind farm. To hydrogen production Hydrogen storage &amp; transport The second step of the green hydrogen value chain consists of its storage and transport. With underground hydrogen storage in salt caverns, the Bad Lauchst\u00e4dt Energy Park is set to become the site of the first green hydrogen storage facility in the future. The subsequent transport of the green hydrogen will take place via a converted natural gas pipeline. This allows parts of the existing gas infrastructure to be used sustainably.
